How to get to Stank Hall Barn

Please note google maps shows it as on parkwood but it is between there and Dewsbury Road

From Leeds City Centre/Beeston

Take the no 2 or 3 bus from Leeds Corn Exchange. Get off the bus at the Tommy Wass Public House. Stank Hall Barn is approx 10 min walk from here.

Walk along Dewsbury Road (through the lights) towards Morley. You will pass Gee Gees taxi office on your left and the Waincliffe garage/MOT Centre. Keep going straight ahead, past the field and under the railway bridge. Stank Hall Barn is the 1st left turn after the bridge. There is a blue signpost directing you to the barn.

You can also catch the nos 202, 203, 220, 221, 222 and 223 from Leeds bus station. These buses stop even closer – just after the traffic lights (next to Gee Gees/Waincliffe garage).


From the White Rose Shopping Centre

There are numerous bus services to the Centre. The barn is approx 10 min walk from here.


Walk towards the nex garage & starbucks on the main road, below the Sainsburys petrol station. Cross over the road to the far side of Dewsbury Road. Please take extra care crossing here. Walk back along Dewsbury Road towards Beeston/Tommy Wass for approx 5 mins. Stank Hall Barn is the 1st right turn. There is a blue signpost directing you to the barn.

Route 2

You can also reach the barn by leaving the White Rose Centre via the Millshaw Beck exit (the steps by the boardwalk) from the main/front entrance car park. Turn left at the bottom of the steps towards the crossing. Cross over the road and start to walk up Beeston Ring Road (which heads towards Tommy Wass/Dewsbury Road). The first right on Beeston Ring Road, immediately before the bridge, is a shortcut and is signposted as a public footpath, turn up here. You will come out onto Dewsbury Road, just after the railway bridge. Cross the road and the barn is the 1st left turn. There is a blue signpost directing you to the barn.

From Morley

Take the 220, 221, 222 or 223 bus to Leeds and get off at the petrol station/starbucks.

Please note there is no parking on the Stank Hall Barn sitem you may be able to park close by on the housing estate & walk over.

    1. Hi I’m really sorry no one lives on site, the buildings are all derelict. we don’t have anyone called Steve as part of our team either so a little confused re this

    1. Hi email is easier, as we are all volunteers and don’t have an office. if you email Please be aware we don’t have access to the barn except by permission of Leeds City Council I’m afraid, and are just awaiting this year’s licence for our open days.
      So all visits inside the barn need to be taken on those dates
